Here's a list of the campouts we have planned for the 2017 Camping Season. They are listed from first to last and may be subject to change due to campsites available at each location. The campsites are always available on a 'first come-first served' basis... so you will want to try and make your reservations on the earliest possible date if you really want to camp that weekend! Camping in Colorado is VERY popular! So... mark your calendars and join us for as many or as few as you'd like!

Join us for a Jimmy Buffett themed Memorial Day weekend in Southern Colorado! Decorate your campsite in tropical fashion... and wear your best Parrothead beach attire. We'll have the Tiki Bar set up, and plenty of little umbrellas ready! Saturday night we'll have a "Cheeseburger in Paradise" cookout - bring your own burgers and a side dish to share! Set on the beautiful Cuchara River, if the weather is good it'll be paradise! This fun weekend is sponsored by the Starlite Classic Campground and is open to campers manufactured in 1975 or earlier. If you don't have a vintage camper and want to see what it's all about, they have several there available for rent! It's always a themed weekend with camper tours on Saturday, a flea market where folks sell fun stuff, then a themed dinner party that night. To register, visit their website www.starliteclassiccampground.com and choose your site for those dates. Then when they post the Event Registration form, you will print that out and send it in! Easy as pie and so much fun!

We are excited to join the Friendly Average Campers of Colorado for a fun long weekend in beautiful Grand Lake! Some of us will arrive on Thursday, but you're welcome to come on Friday. The Rocky Mountain Glampers are going to celebrate Christmas in July this weekend! So... dig out your Christmas tree and lights... tinsel and Santas and decorate your campsite for a very Merry Christmas! Why not?!? We will also do a White Elephant gift exchange - so find the tackiest thrift shop vintage treasure you can and wrap it up! There is lots to do in the Grand Lake area - so be prepared for a fun weekend and enjoy meeting some new camping friends too! To reserve your spot, contact the campground directly at 970-627-8502. There are no sites available to reserve online, so be sure to call. Tell them you are with the FAC group! Hurry!

We've discovered a beautiful little campground west of Denver off of Hwy 285 that looks like a little piece of heaven. Come on out with us for a relaxing weekend on the lake with the kayaks and paddle boards. Reservations are accepted 3 months in advance on the website at www.castlemountainrec.com. We are hoping to camp along the water's edge between sites 19 and 29 if you would like to join us! Reservations for those dates begin at midnight on May 3rd. Good Luck to all of us!
Moraine Park at Rocky Mountain National Park

If you'd like to see some 'fire in the sky'... come with us to Rocky Mountain National Park for the Perseid Meteor Showers. More details as we get closer, but this campground speaks for itself. We will host nightly campfires complete with S'mores and fresh cobbler cooked over the coals in the infamous Dutch Oven! Relax or hike, or enjoy a day in town. It's the perfect Colorado camping weekend. This is 'dry camping'... No hookups or electricity. Reservations can be made 6 months in advance, so get your site as early as midnight on Wednesday, February 9th online at www.reserveamerica.com. We are going to try to reserve in A Loop or C Loop. Don't put off making a reservation!

We have two possible weekends to camp at Dowdy Lake. For good reason, this is one of the most sought after campgrounds in Colorado. It looks and feels like Lake Tahoe and every campsite is gorgeous! We visited the ranger there last fall and he told us that if you don't try to make your reservation the very hour that it opens for reservations, it's not very likely you'll be able to get a site the next day! So...set your alarm for Thursday Feb 23 at midnight and try to reserve somewhere between sites 1 and 14. If you can't get reservations that weekend, you can try for the following weekend. Good luck!
